Enhancing patient outcomes through evaluation of the appropriateness and quality use of pathology in general practice

Macquarie University

The project aims to enhance patient outcomes through identification, measurement and monitoring of the appropriateness of pathology testing using de-identified data from three participating Primary Health Networks, covering approximately 3 million patients. The findings will be used to design Primary Health Network-led interventions aimed to reduce inappropriate or unnecessary pathology testing services.
