Improving the Quality of Molecular Genetics Testing and Reporting

The Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia Quality Assurance Program

This current project is to establish and develop quality assurance activities to improve the quality of genetic testing in Australian laboratories. This will be in both the areas of inherited (germline) disorders and the cancer-associated (somatic) mutations. It is expected that this project will assist in the standardisation of genetic testing and introduce more rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of genetic testing.
