Line graph demonstrates the rates for gastroenteritis by week of report and year, from 1 January 2015 to 30 June 2016. In 2015 the peak occurred in week 1 at 8.1 notifications per 1,000 consultations. In 2016 the peak occurred in week 5 at 6.0 notifications per 1,000 consultations.  Rates in the 2nd quarter of 2016 were slightly higher to the rates seen in the same reporting period in 2015 with the average from April – June for 2015 and 2016 being 3.1 notifications per 1,000 consultations and 3.8 notifications per 1,000 consultations, respectively.
