This figure shows the annual notification rate for gonococcal infection from 2009 to 2014, by sex, for the following selected age groups: 15–19 years, 20–24 years, 25–29 years, 30–34 years, 35–39 years, 40–44 years and 45–49 years. Overall, notification rates increased for males and females in these age groups over the five year period, especially for males in the 20–24, 25–29 and 30–34 years age groups. However, from 2012 to 2014, notification rates decreased for males and females aged 15–19 years.
