This figure shows the notification rate of infectious syphilis (primary, secondary and early latent), less than two years duration in persons aged 15 years and over, in Australia from 2007 to 2012, by age group and sex and year. In males, the figure shows an overall decline in notification rates across most age groups between 2007 and 2010, and then increases across most age groups through 2011 and 2012. In females, the figure shows that notification rates between 2007 and 2012 have been relatively low across all years.
