This figure present the proportion of laboratory confirmed influenza A(H1N1)pdm09
notifications reported as pregnant among females during 2009 by 5-year age group and
hospital ward type. As an indication of severity, pregnant women were disproportionately
represented among hospitalisations and ICU admissions compared to other females of child
bearing age (15 to 44 years).
