Figure 2 is a column graph showing the number of participants recruited each day from 23 March 2011 to 31 May 2011 (the peak recruitment period for 2011). There were a total of 2309 participants recruited during this period. Notable recruitment activities included: a Hunter New England Health newsletter promoted Flutracking on 12 April 2011, and 61 participants were recruited nationally from 12-15 April 2011; an interview on ABC Radio, Life Matters program on 21 April 2011, and 239 participants were recruited nationally from 21-23 April 2011; a Hunter New England Health-wide email invitation to approximately 14,000 staff was sent on 2 May 2011 and the Flutracking launch email was sent to all active participants on 2 May 2011, and 878 participants were recruited nationally from 2-6 May 2011; the first Flutracking survey was emailed to all active participants on 9 May 2011, and 275 participants were recruited nationally from 9-14 May 2011; a Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services-wide email invitation to approximately 10,000 staff and University of Newcastle Media release was distributed on 17 May 2011, and 315 participants were recruited nationally from 17-20 May 2011.
